This is the last WILL and Testament
of me Edward Chatterton of Gorton in the parish of Manchester in the County of Lancashire Cotton Spinner,
made and published this seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.

In manner following:
I give to my loving wife the Rents Fees? and profits of all my Cottage Houses in Dunkenfield being twelve in number to hold to her and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life.

And from and immediatly after her decease,
I give and dispose of the same houses amongst my six children in the manner following. viz:-

To my daughter Ann - The two cottages in Canal Street being numbers 20 and 23 -

To my my son Peter - The cottage numberer 24 in the same street and cottage number 21 in Cross Leech Street.

To my son John - The two cottages numberes 25 and 26 in Cross Leech Street.

To my daughter Sarah - The cottage No. 26 in Canal street and the cottage No. 23 in Cross Leech Street.

To my son Thomas - The house No. 27 in Canal Street and the house No. 24 in Cross Leech Street.

To my daughter Mary - Cottage No. 25 in canal street and the cottage No. 22 in Cross Leach Street,

To hold to my said sons and daughters respectively and their respective heirs executors administrators and asigns for and during all such Estate as shall them be subsisting or capable of Subsisting in the same houses respectivly.-

And I give to my wife - All my household Goods and Furnitures and other my personal Estate for her life subject to my Debts and Personal and Testamentry Charges;

And after the decease of my said wife, I direct my household Goods and Furniture to be sold by Auction and the rest residue of such to be divided equally amongst my said sons and daughters share and share alike.

And I do appoint my said wife and my two sons Peter and John Executors of this my Will; Hearby revoking all formmer Wills by me made.

And I make publish and declare this to be - My last Will and Testament, In witness whereof I have hereunto set and Put my Hand and Seal this day and year first before written.

The 21st day of February 1835

Martha Chatterton, Peter Chatterton and John Chatterton the Executrix and Executors in this WILL named, were sworn in common form and they further made oath that the personal Estate and effects of the Testator within the the diocese of Chester were under the value of £50.
